The power of the breath and what can result mentally, physically, and spiritually when consciously managing it never ceases to amaze me. Love your word of resonance too. Great article

Right!? The body and nervous system - and brain... it's all such an incredible combination. Thanks for reading.

So many combinations you can do based on intent such as speed up, slow down, dial in, etc. You alluded to boxed or physiologic sigh which are two of the best. I often like to modify boxed breathing and extend the exhales for breath work in sauna which is probably similar to a 4-7-8like protocol with different numbers. I also like to extend durations of standard boxed breathing for a challenge like 8-10 sec/phase.

Our buddy Chris Lee told me of a beautiful one he likes to do which is like a modified physiologic sigh in that he takes a deep inhale and then slowly exhales while saying “Yahweh.” The two syllables breaks up the exhale into two phases. It call comes down to conscious intent and whatever works for the person. Never-ending options to explore.
