I missed writing last week’s edition.

I was taking a breather.

Literally and figuratively.

I stepped away for a family vacation and it reminded me just how important it is to pause intentionally. To breathe on purpose. Not just to survive the pace of life… but to reset, recalibrate, and return more present.

And that’s what this week is all about:
Not just the breath you take unconsciously… but the ones that change your state, your mind, and your leadership.

We all breathe.
But most of us do it wrong.

We breathe shallow, fast, and unconsciously … especially when stressed. And while it’s easy to dismiss breath as automatic background noise, the truth is, your breath is one of the most powerful tools you have for changing how you feel, think, and lead.

Here’s what most people get wrong:
They assume emotions happen to them.
They assume clarity comes after stress passes.
They assume presence is a trait some people are just born with.

But in reality, all of that can be trained… through your breath.

If you’ve never thought of breathing as a leadership tool… I get it.
But when I was a SEAL, when I’m leading a client workshop, when I’m parenting my kids… breath is what brings me back to center.

And this week’s podcast episode goes deep into the why and how.
We get real about science, states of stress, and practical ways to breathe with intention.
