Hey everyone,

Jon Macaskill here, back with your weekly dose of wellness and leadership tips. This week, I’m switching things up a bit. I’ve been getting some questions about why I’m writing this newsletter and how wellness ties into leadership and workplace culture. So, let’s talk about it—because this stuff really DOES matter.

Why Wellness and Leadership Are a Power Combo

So, why am I all about this wellness and leadership thing? Here’s the deal—wellness isn’t just about hitting the gym or finding your zen (though, those are great). It’s about living a balanced life where you’re firing on all cylinders—physically and mentally. And if you’re leading a team, how you show up every day can make or break the vibe.

When we talk about leadership, we’re really talking about people—how you guide them, inspire them, and, most importantly, how you support them. That’s where wellness comes in. You can’t be a great leader if you’re running on fumes. And the same goes for your team. If your workplace doesn’t give a damn about wellness, you’re going to see it in your team’s energy, mood, and overall productivity.

How Wellness and Workplace Culture Connect

Okay, so how do wellness and workplace culture fit together? It’s pretty simple:

1. Health Conscious Leaders = Health Conscious Cultures: When you take care of yourself, you set the tone for everyone else. It’s like giving the green light for everyone to prioritize their well-being.

2. Wellness = Productivity: When your team feels good—physically, mentally, emotionally—they’re more focused and ready to get the job done.

3. Wellness Keeps People Around: Let’s be honest—no one wants to stay in a place
