The 90-second biology versus the hour of relighting it distinction is the most useful reframe on anger I've read in a while. For me it's usually frustration with myself over a dumb mistake, the actual chemical wave passes fast but I'll keep rehearsing the internal lecture way longer than it deserves. Calling it "relighting the match" instead of "still being upset" makes it a lot easier to catch mid-relight.
